The right question: Why don't more production workers in more materials plants read Proust?

Your answer is totally correct. Oddly enough, I started reading Proust when I was working a summer job at the Littlestown Hardware and Foundry. I was 20 and didn't really understand a word of what I was reading, but I kept at it and finally finished reading his supernovel in my mid-thirties, at which point I was able to understand about a tenth of what I was reading. But I got some looks at the foundry, carrying around a book. Luckily I was too stoned to notice the sneers of contempt my behavior provoked in my fellow employees.

Well, you can always compete in the The All-England Summarize Proust Competition.

Yeah, I didn't really get that skit but now I do. I just finished Volume I and was trying to tell Mom what it was about. I couldn't do it because, even with it fresh in my mind, I have absolutely no idea myself what it was about. No idea at all.

Hey, Seth! Easy with all that wind and snow from up there. We've had enough of it!

Just think of how cold and snowy it would be without that global warming stuff, huh?

I like the snow but not the wind. Snow has a way of making everyone slow down and take their time doing everything. It's kind of...soothing. And cold.
